Collective Grievance – UPDATE 29-01-2017

Since the submission of the collective grievance on 28th December 2018, the Trust has not made any attempt to contact the GMB@EEAS branch to negotiate or seek resolution to this ongoing staff issue.

The GMB met on Wednesday 17th January 2018 with the CEO and Director of People and Culture at a prearranged meeting but did raise the issue of how the collective grievance had thus far been ignored as no communication had been received or entered into. Apologies were offered and promises made to look into what had happened. One week post this meeting still no correspondence had been received.

On Thursday 25th January 2018 without further delay the grievance was resubmitted FORMALLY. The next day correspondence was received acknowledging and accepting the formal grievance and advising that policy would now be adhered to. Collective grievance meetings will normally be held within 49 days.

Although the case for inequality and disparity of how the different staff groups were being treated was obvious and straightforward, seeking a fair and quick resolution for those affected does not appear as clear.

We shall keep you updated as matters progress

Regards
