Joint Ambulance Statement December 2016

Dear colleagues

As a result of concerns raised at yesterdays NAC meeting I made contact with the NASPF secretary Alan Lofthouse. And like us, he has been told that there is indeed concerns being voiced by ambulance trust employers about the funding for implementation of the band 6 profile, although the position is clear in the published FAQs circulated with the profile and JEG guidance.

Consequently, we agreed a further joint statement should be issued with the purpose of letting DH, local ambulance trust employers and the top brass at NHS employers know we mean business, if the concerns are not remedied and remedied soon, to stop trust holding up local matching and job description reviews.

Attached herewith is the statement. Please use to encourage members and none members the fight for justice on pay continues for the paramedic family. And as agreed yesterday if that means taking action, we will do so. Hence the need for members details being correct.

Further updates will be supplied if and when the situation changes
